He has 14 years experience in the healthcare sector managing brands and directing market research for brands on the client side. This experience also includes building and leading a fieldwork agency and a marketing research Strategic Business Unit on the full-service agency side.

Prior to Ipsos, he founded and served as Group President for Medefield America, rapidly shaping it into the largest and most successful provider of global online physician fieldwork in the industry. Previously, he was head of Global Market Research Business Training at NOP Health (now GfK) and headed one the company's marketing research Strategic Business Units. Working client side, Elys spent seven years in Eli Lilly's Sales and Marketing leadership program in diverse roles including Market Research Manager, Marketing and District Sales Manager.

Elys is on the Board of the MRII, a not-for-profit organization partnered with the University of Georgia market research program. He is a contributing editor for their learning program, the Principles of Marketing Research (Pharmaceutical), and is a regular presenter at industry conferences. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) summa cum laude, from Manchester University, England and a distinction from the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

Fred LaManna leads a consultancy within Ipsos Health that encompasses several research teams. His teams seek to use market-based information to provide guidance to improve decision making associated with developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing strategy.

Fred's background includes expertise in both quantitative and qualitative approaches as well as analyzing and integrating secondary data. His experience spans the domestic and global arenas and includes work with physicians, nurses, patients, consumers, pharmacists, and payors.

He works closely with research directors and their teams to design relevant, thorough, projectable research that provides high quality information. Fred also works with teams to ensure analysis integrates and customizes findings in a way that clearly informs and suggests superior decisions. The consultancy's clients include a variety of constituencies within the healthcare environment including most notably, pharmaceutical manufacturers, but also, medical equipment/device suppliers, managed care organizations and public relations/advertising firms.

In Fred's previous experience, his teams have won vendor of the year at a major pharmaceutical company as well as best practices awards for patient segmentation. He has presented at national conferences for healthcare industry organizations and makes dozens of other in-person presentations each year, pointing out key implications of research findings to management.

Prior to working with healthcare clients, Fred worked with a variety of other industries ranging from consumer packaged goods to financial services to high technology. Fred received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Saint John's University.

Paul is experienced in establishing and maintaining best practices in both primary and secondary market research. While at Merck, Paul directed activities including the pre-launch primary and secondary market research in gastroenterology, cardiovascular, pediatric vaccines, infectious disease and women's health categories. His new product launch experience includes market research for such brands as: Zocor, Fosamax, Crixivan, and Zetia. Prior to taking these responsibilities, Paul directed the market research efforts for the oncology and ophthalmology franchises as well as for New Products.

Paul holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and B.A. in Psychology from Temple University. He began his career in market research with the National Analysts Division of Booz, Allen and Hamilton.

Sharon's experience comprises a variety of therapeutic areas, particularly diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, oncology, women's health, arthritis, asthma, surgical devices, and CNS. Within these areas, she has designed and managed both qualitative and quantitative studies at every phase of the product lifecycle including communication research, segmentation, conjoint, pricing, new product development, therapeutic market assessment, product awareness and usage, and payer/managed care. She has also developed a consumer pathway model that identifies intervention points and market potential in a given disease area.

Sharon has worked within global health and pharmaceutical marketing research since 1999. Her background also includes experience in graduate biological and medical research, healthcare strategic planning, multi-media communications, marketing, and marketing research.

She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Management, Marketing and Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
