Ipsos-Ideas / Media-Content-Technology
by Donna Sabino
Kids today are growing up in a quickly evolving media ecosystem. What impact will this media and technology environment have on their overall development? How are kids and families using new platforms in their everyday lives? What does childhood look like in the digital age? Ipsos MediaCT seeks to answer these and other questions through its syndicated study LMX Family, an annual survey that examines kids’ and families adoption and adaptation of new media and technology. While the effects of social media on adult communication are significant and well documented, this article looks at the influence social networking is having on kids aged 6-12 years old.
