New York, NY - Ipsos is aiming to deliver stronger results on the data collection side of their business. Ipsos Observer, the survey management, data collection and delivery experts for Ipsos worldwide is reorganizing in North America in order to revolutionize client service performance in this specialized area of market research. As part of that new structure, several key and strategic North America appointments have been made. David Shanker, Global President of Ipsos Observer, announces the changes and the team that will be the driving force behind the new structure.
“In order to better support our clients, we’ve taken a number of actions. First in that, is Observer North America will now go to market in 3 geographic areas. These teams will be focused on building client relationships and driving client service on a more regional, local and personal level,” says Shanker. “Each geographic area will be lead by new local leadership—all of them accomplished leaders and proven members of the team.”
Allison Gunn, John Ward, and Dennis Barbelet will each take on a regional responsibility.
Allison Gunn will lead the West Area and has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Allison worked with OTX prior to its acquisition by Ipsos, having been with the group for 9 years. She was a founding member of RSX (the former OTX data collection service) and will now apply her talents to the Ipsos Observer team. Allison is based in Los Angeles.
John Ward, Vice President, will lead the Central Area. John comes from the Ipsos side of the business. With the Ipsos acquisition of OTX, John has been instrumental in integrating the two teams into a solid, unified data collection offer. He is based in Minneapolis.
Dennis Barbelet will lead the East Area and has been promoted to Vice President. Dennis started with OTX in 2007, quadrupling the size of the East business in that time. Prior to his experience at OTX and Ipsos, Dennis held similar roles at Synovate and TNS. Dennis is based in New York.
All report to David Shanker in Parsippany, NJ.
“With Allison, John, and Dennis’ leadership, clients in each region are going to fully understand why the people at Ipsos Observer are the survey management, data collection and delivery specialists,” adds Shanker. “And globally speaking, Ipsos Observer will continue to expand its presence, build its brand and deliver the data our clients need with the service they expect and deserve. We’re committed to that promise.”
