New York, NY – Ipsos Public Affairs is continuing to bolster its team in the United States with several changes in senior management. Clifford Young has been promoted to President of Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S. and John Vidmar has been elevated to the position of Chairman of Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S. Julia Clark will take on additional responsibilities by leading the team in Chicago as Vice President.
In his new capacity, Clifford Young will take the helm of Ipsos Public Affairs’ business operations in the U.S. He will also continue to handle global elections at Ipsos. Clifford has worked with a wide variety of corporate, government, media, and political clients, with his research specialties spanning from social and public opinion trends, to crisis management, to election forecasting and polling. Before coming to Ipsos Public Affairs in North America, Clifford was Managing Director of Ipsos Public Affairs in Brazil, where he started the practice.
Announcing Clifford’s appointment, Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos Public Affairs Worldwide, says: “With an extensive history at both Ipsos and in the field of public affairs, Cliff brings an unparalleled level of expertise to the role. Our clients will no doubt benefit from his unique, global perspective—one that is backed by polling over 80 elections around the world. But perhaps even more important than the international experience he brings, is his in-depth understanding of the market in the U.S. Cliff played a big role in a successful 2012 election season for Ipsos.”
John Vidmar has moved into the role of Chairman of Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S. In this role, John will be a source of continuity on some of Ipsos’ larger programs, and will use his considerable methodological skills and industry experience to enhance the company’s offering. His focus will be in reviewing and improving Ipsos’ sampling methodologies across the region.
Both Clifford and John will report to Jeff Cail, COO of Ipsos in North America, and Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos Public Affairs Worldwide.
In addition to her current role as Vice President, Julia Clark will also take on day-to-day responsibilities for leading Ipsos Public Affairs’ activity in Chicago. Julia will report directly to Clifford Young.
“These three strategic appointments underline our commitment to building a strong presence in this highly competitive region,” says Jeff Cail, COO of Ipsos in North America. “I am excited to watch Cliff, John and Julia take our business to new heights, and help our clients gain relevant insights into the opinions of citizens and consumers.”
