New York, NY – Ipsos Marketing has boosted its leadership roster in the U.S. and made two key appointments. In a continued effort to expand its client service capabilities, Elys Roberts has been promoted to President of Ipsos Marketing in the U.S., while Steve Girling succeeds him as President of Ipsos Healthcare in the region. Pierre Le Manh, CEO of Ipsos in North America and Global CEO of Ipsos Marketing, made the announcement.
In his new role, Elys Roberts will have overall responsibility for several divisions across a range of service lines and sectors, including Ipsos Healthcare. Specifically, he will be tasked with leading the implementation of Ipsos Marketing’s global strategy in the U.S. market. He will report directly to Pierre Le Manh.
“Elys has truly been an agent of change for us over the last seven years,” says Pierre Le Manh, announcing the new appointment. “Under his management, he has strengthened our position as a leader in healthcare and pharmaceutical research, while achieving consistent high satisfaction among clients and employees. The time has come for Elys to lead the Ipsos Marketing team in the U.S., to better service our clients at a time when Marketing is going through fundamental transformations driven by digital technologies.”
Roberts will pass on his previous role of President of Ipsos’ U.S. Health Practice to Steve Girling. In this post, Girling is charged with leading the company’s healthcare business and providing strategic direction to a team of researchers across the country. He will report to Elys Roberts and to Michael Spedding, Global CEO of Ipsos Healthcare.
Girling comes to Ipsos with close to two decades of experience. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at the strategic healthcare consultancy, Campbell Alliance, where he drove growth in both Healthcare and Life Sciences. Before that, he held various leadership positions at Cline Davis & Mann, Leerink Swann and Smart Analyst. Girling also spent the early part of his career with Forrester Research. Beyond insights-based healthcare consulting, his background also covers digital, healthcare IT, IT services and advertising strategy.
“Steve brings both the vision and expertise needed to continue the strong momentum we have built in this arena,” adds Roberts of the appointment. “With deep knowledge of the challenges and opportunities that face the pharmaceutical industry, he’s a natural fit for the role. I look forward to working closely with him to deliver business guidance to clients through exceptional service and insights.”
Steve has a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems Management from Bournemouth University, UK. He will be based in the company’s Norwalk office.
