Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Toronto, ON – These are the findings from a custom Ipsos study conducted on behalf of Deloitte Canada related to their 2015 Canadian Technology, Media & Telecommunications Predictions. In addition, results also include findings from the Ipsos Canadian Media Landscape Study. Topline results are available for download on the right side of the page.

Custom Deloitte Study: These are the findings of an Ipsos Reid study conducted on behalf of Deloitte between January 5th – 8th 2015. This online survey of 900 Canadian adults (18+) was conducted via the Ipsos Online Opinions Panel, one of Ipsos Reid's national online panels. Weighting was then employed to balance demographics to ensure that the sample's composition reflects that of the adult population according to Census data and to provide results intended to approximate the sample universe. The precision of Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll is accurate to within +/-3.3 percentage points had all Canadian adults been polled. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error, and measurement error.

Canadian Media Landscape Study: These are the findings from the syndicated Ipsos Reid Canadian Media Landscape study conducted between May and November 2014. This online survey of 11,000 Canadian adults (18+) was conducted via the Ipsos Online Panel, one of Ipsos Reid's national online panels. Weighting was then employed to balance demographics to ensure that the sample's composition reflects that of the adult population according to Census data and to provide results intended to approximate the sample universe. The precision of Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll is accurate to within +/-0.93 percentage points had all Canadian adults been polled. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error, and measurement error.
