New York, NY – Ipsos has appointed Jim Meyer, former CEO of Ipsos ASI in North America, to the newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer. In this post, Meyer will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy to accelerate the transformation of Ipsos within the U.S. and Canada.
In announcing the appointment, Pierre Le Manh, CEO, North America, Ipsos, said, “This new position is the latest in a series of management appointments designed to improve our offering and our position in the market. A strong strategic marketing function will be crucial to propelling us forward as game changers in the research industry, and Jim brings the perspective and experience that we need to lead that function.”
For the last two years, Meyer has led Ipsos’ advertising and brand communications research business in the U.S. and Canada. In this new position, Meyer’s skills will be applied across all the North American business units against a broad range of internal and external opportunities, including strengthening Ipsos’ brand awareness and identity in the market.
Meyer spent the first 20 years of his career as a New York advertising executive, then five years as a marketing strategy consultant and six years as the founding CEO of Mindset Media, an ad technology firm now owned by Google. He has served on the board of directors of two public digital media companies. He was a general manager at TNS immediately before joining Ipsos.
