General Election Trends
- In the two-way race, Clinton leads with men (45% v 39%), women (44% v
32%), and minority registered voters (60% v 17%), as well as with registered
voters who have some college (42% v 34%) and college or more (54% v 27%)
- Trump leads with white registered voters and voters with no college.
- Registered voters with some college support Jill Stein most (Clinton 40% v Trump
33% v Johnson 8% v Stein 6%).
- Trump is seen as most favorable by white registered voters (49%) and least
favorable by minority registered voters (26%).
- Clinton is significantly most favored by minority registered voters (67%) and least
favored by white registered voters (41%).

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted for Thomson Reuters October 13-17,
2016. For the survey, a sample of 1,750 Americans, including 674 men, 827 women,
1,155 whites, 346 minorities, 261 no college, 526 some college, and 714 college or more
were interviewed online. The precision of the
Reuters/Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case,
the poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 2.7 percentage points for all adults, 4.3
percentage points for men, 3.9 percentage points for women, 3.3 percentage points for whites,
6.0 percentage points for minorities, 6.9 for no college, 4.9 for some college and 4.2 for
