Washington, DC -The Ipsos/BuzzFeed poll on trust in news was released today.
Below are some key points.
- 56% of American adults got their news from broadcast TV, closely followed by 55% who
got their news from Facebook.
- 59% of respondents trust the news they get from broadcast TV all or most of the time.
- 18% of respondents trust Facebook all or most of the time, with 44% saying they rarely or
almost never trust news from Facebook.

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted January 12-13, 2017
of Buzzfeed. For the survey, a sample of 1,007 U.S. respondents aged 18+ were interviewed
online. The precision of Ipsos online polls is measured using a
credibility interval. In this case, the poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 3.5
percentage points. The

following (n=1,007, DEFF=1.5, adjusted Confidence Interval=5). Post-hoc weights were
