New York, NY – Ipsos has appointed Amy Fenton to the position of
Chief Marketing Officer in North America. She joins Ipsos from Nielsen, where she led the
global commercial Buy strategy. Fenton will oversee all marketing, strategy and
communications efforts in the U.S. and Canada. In that role, she will focus on the Ipsos brand
and reputation among its clients, employees and other stakeholders in North America.
Fenton succeeds Jim Meyer, the company’s first North American CMO, whose work
establishing a robust marketing function sets a firm foundation for Ipsos’ continued success.
Meyer leaves Ipsos for a new role to be announced next week.
Fenton is a global executive with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She
joins with vast leadership experience ranging from building and leading operations in a
number of regions around the world, leading global teams and clients and being a change
agent enabling business growth and impact. She began her career in consumer insights at
Procter & Gamble and joined Nielsen in 1991. She held a number of leadership roles globally
in Nielsen’s BASES business across North America and Latin America. Further, she led one of
Nielsen’s most strategic global client relationships while based in London, driving the
integration of Nielsen’s Watch and Buy businesses. She propelled her passion for developing
talent and driving a diverse workforce serving as Global Executive Co-Leader of the Women
employee resource group.

Fenton holds a B.S.B.A degree in Marketing from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and
attended the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. She sits on a number
